Book group

We are currently reading…

When a newborn baby dies after a routine hospital procedure, there is no doubt about who will be held responsible: the nurse who had been banned from looking after him by his father.

What the nurse, her lawyer and the father of the child cannot know is how this death will irrevocably change all their lives, in ways both expected and not.

Small Great Things is about prejudice and power; it is about that which divides and unites us.

It is about opening your eyes.

I’m excited that Small Great Things has been chosen as our next book to read for our ‘almost’ monthly book group. The reason being is that it’s being pitched as the To Kill a Mockingbird for the 21st century.

No date has been set as yet for when we’re next meeting to review this book but it will be some time in early/mid September. Once we have met and discussed our thoughts I will then post my review of Small Great Things.

In the meantime join us all in reading it too and let us know what you think. My fellow book groupies and I would love to hear.

Happy reading!
